In his column this month, our Down to Earth Woodworker, Steven Johnson, addresses some feedback he received from readers on a topic that proved to be quite controversial! In May, Steve mentioned picking up a box of ziploc bags for disposal of used finishing rags, which incited quite a bit of reader feedback, leading to a retraction and apology in his June column. Well after more feedback in response to his retraction, Steve decided to take matters into his own hands and actually create an experiment to test the assumptions being made by the readers sending feedback. Take a look at his surprising results in this month’s Down to Earth Woodworker.
